A theologian and author based at the University of St. Andrews, Scotland, she writes about the history of wine-making, especially its place throughout the story of the Bible, and the spiritual experience and beauty of sharing well-crafted wine with others around the table. Gisela Kreglinger grew up on a family-owned winery in Franconia, Germany where her family has been crafting wine for many generations. This unique experience has inspired her to write a book about the spirituality of wine.

She holds a PhD in historical theology from the University of St. Andrews and in this book Gisela has woven together her passions for Christian spiritualty and the wonderful and mysterious world of wine.
