It has been a busy few months for this year’s Newbigin Fellows. In December, the fellows heard from several City Church staff on the topic of Faith & Work.
January brought our first annual Newbigin Twelfth Night Party. This holiday party was a great opportunity to bring both current fellows and program alumni together for a night of great food and fellowship. At the end of January the current fellows participated in a Spiritual Retreat at the Mercy Center in Burlingame, CA. This weekend is designed for fellows have the space to try various spiritual practices including the practice of silence. It was a time of reflection and spiritual growth.
The first week of February featured a fireside chat at the home of Dr. Scot Sherman for a discussion on ‘faithful presence.’ This past Saturday the fellows heard from Dr. Chuck DeGroat on the topic of Relationships & Sexuality. The Newbigin Alumni have the opportunity to hear from Kirsten Oates, Director of People & Planning at City Church, on the topic of Enneagram Sub-Types this weekend.
